The absolute cutest spot with the yummiest food! They had the best blueberry coffee cake latte a few months ago. The breakfast sandwich I had was delicious and we tried the double chocolate chip cookies too - which were a favorite. Definitely a hidden gem in the community and so close to all of the trails.

I love this spot. Unique coffee creations and sandwiches, ad well as delicious pastries. I also live the bookstore and country store, it's a unique experience.

Staying a few days in the winter off-season in a home near Horseneck Beach in Westport, Mass. I was settling in and in search of a place for breakfast. Davoll's General Store in Dartmouth Mass. fits the bill perfectly. After a very pretty 20-minute drive from the beach area, winding through miles of dry-stone wall works (and a full-size Dutch windmill!) I arrived to find a lovely combination of general store, bookstore, and café. Given that this visit was during the winter I had no trouble navigating the multiple shops. I found and purchased one of Ian McEwan's early novels (On Chesil Beach), ordered a mug of hot chocolate ($4.50) and a heated ham and cheese croissant (Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese, arugula, fig jam, and Dijon on a croissant, $13); then I settled in for a quiet and calming breakfast. Friendly service and excellent ambiance, in a pastoral setting emblematic of the area.

As a child who loved Little House on the Prairie and Anne of Green Gables, I've got a deep love of general stores. This is the most joyful one I've ever been to. I cried a lottle when I finally made it here because it was just so good. Wonderful cafe as well. Absolutely perfect and so special. Friendly staff, great books, thoughtful gifts and provisions to snack on. A sparkling gem.

A beautiful old building with a very eclectic store inside. Many books, artisan cheeses and breads, seeds for the garden, etc. There's a small Cafe that was very busy. A unique experience you won't find anywhere else in the area. You must go.
